Hecho en Cine is a boutique production company that has produced a variety of visual products from concept to screen. Our creative inspiration comes from unique stories in places you’ve probably never heard of.
Formed in 2005, Hecho en Cine’s innaugural project, Luz del Mundo, was a short narrative film shot in the desert near Jalpa, Mexico about the death of beat legend Neal Cassady. The film’s director Ty Roberts, has been working under the Hecho en Cine umbrella ever since. Ty’s primary focus lies in producing and directing narrative and documentary content as well as almost anything that has to do with music. He has written a handful of feature scripts, two of which have now been adapted into short films and produced through Hecho.
Joining Hecho en Cine in 2009, Executive Producer, Carolina Peredo, provides extensive production knowledge in Argentina and has spearheaded all of Hecho’s projects since her arrival. She recently produced the short film, These Wild Plains, and acted as a producer on a co-production with Al Taco project’s, The Path of the Condor, sold last year to Discovery Networks.
Hecho’s team has worked with Hollywood studios such as Paramount, Walt Disney, Walden Media and United Artists and has sold content to Disney Nature and Discovery Channel. With bases in both Austin, Texas and Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina, our infrastructure helps U.S. projects find a quick and easy footing in Argentina. Additionally, we have shot and produced in almost a dozen countries throughout Latin America so no matter the size of your project, Hecho en Cine can provide creative consulting services or can act as a local producer in Texas, Mexico or Argentina to help ensure your shoot goes smoothly and remains on budget. And if we can’t handle it alone we'll find the necessary support from a long list of folks we've worked with over the years.
